Chapter Members were actively serving during Founders' week and celebrated all over Horry County and made sure to stop at Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church for the Conway-Horry County MLK Day Program.
The Motivational Speaker was Dr. Bertha Boykin Todd a 95 year old Soror from Wilmington NC and Rev. William Miller, pastor of Bethel AME Church was the Keynote Speaker. They both did an outstanding job! Soror Genar gave acknowledgments and closing remarks.
Sorors in attendance took a photo with Soror Todd, including 2 undergraduates.
Following the MLK program, Sorors Cheryl, Ballery and Carolyn along with other members of the Whittemore Racepath Historical Society participated in the unveiling of the historical plaque on Racepath Avenue in Conway.
MIO Sorors, charter members and golden sorors completed the assignment of the day - honoring our Founders and Dr. King’s legacy through our service!
Our brothers of Mu Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Mu Epsilon Lambda Chapter assisted with the lunch boxes.
Thanks to all the Sorors that participated in the Chapter AKA Service Day with the CHIPP and C.A.S.A. service project, and the Community Fridge. We, as a chapter, donated approximately 1600 items to CHIPP.
